A MAN has been charged after a motorcyclist was killed in a fatal crash in Romford. Police were called to Whalebone Lane on the A12 on Saturday night following reports of a collision involving a car and a motorbike. Lee Culleton, 45, was later arrested in connection with the incident on Saturday morning. He has since been charged with causing death by dangerous driving, failing to stop, driving without insurance, driving whilst disqualified and fraudulent use of a registration mark. Culleton appeared at Thames Magistrates’ Court on Monday and was remanded in custody. He will next appear at Snaresbrook Crown Court on 25 August. The victim’s friends have since set up a GoFundMe to help cover the funeral costs. The description reads: “His family is going through an incredibly tough time. Most read in The Sun “Every donation can help support them with the costs of transporting his body to Afghanistan and covering funeral expenses.” An investigation to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the incident is ongoing.
