(Photo by Maureen Matayew) BAGUIO CITY, Philippines— A man has been arrested for allegedly butchering three dogs in Baguio City, prompting local officials to reiterate their commitment to cracking down on the illegal dog meat trade. This was according to a statement posted on Thursday by the Baguio City Veterinary and Agriculture Office (CVAO). But the office says the city government strongly condemned the continued dog meat trade and all forms of animal cruelty, stressing that such practices have no place in a humane and law-abiding society.
