Man and woman in late 70s found dead in Cheshire home

Police were called to the property on Grange Park Avenue, Wilmslow, on Saturday following 'concerns for the welfare of the occupants'.Officers do not believe there was any third party involvement and are not looking for anyone else in connection with the investigation. One business owner on the street said the victims were a couple who kept 'themselves to themselves'.Nigel Lane, 68, told The Telegraph: 'It's a very sad situation. The reasons why, I don't really know.'I know of them but they used to keep themselves to themselves.'They lived there a long time but I don't know their names, there's quite a lot of older people on this estate.' Detective Inspector Robert Lees added: 'We understand the concern this incident is likely to have caused in the local community, and I would like to reassure residents that a thorough investigation is being carried out.'We are not looking for anyone else in relation to this matter. 'Our thoughts remain with the family and loved ones of those involved.'The Daily Mail has contacted the force for further comment.
