Two 19-year-olds have been charged after a young child suffered a severe injury in Southland's Otautau.Emergency services were called to an address just before 7pm on Sunday, Detective Inspector Stu Harvey said.A child was taken to Southland Hospital where they remain in a critical condition.A 19-year-old man and a 19-year-old woman have been charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and will appear in the Invercargill District Court later today.
