Man, 72, arrested for ‘murder’ after woman found dead inside caravan parked at rural village

NewsUK News A 72-YEAR-OLD man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a woman was found dead inside a caravan. Cops scrambled to a holiday park in Sywell, Northamptonshire, at about 6.20am today following reports of an assault. Detective Chief Inspector Ryan Catling said: “This is an extremely tragic incident in which a woman has sadly lost her life, and our thoughts are with her family, friends and loved ones at what will be an incredibly difficult and distressing time. “Specialist officers are supporting her next of kin, and we ask that their privacy is respected while they come to terms with this terrible loss. “Our investigation is moving at pace, and we are committed to securing all available evidence and doing everything we can to get justice. “There will be an increased police presence in the area while our enquiries continue, and even though we have made an arrest, I would encourage anyone who may have information that could assist our investigation to contact us.” A spokesperson for the force said: “A 72-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder following the death of a woman in Sywell.
