A 23-YEAR-OLD man has been charged with two counts of attempted rape after two women were allegedly attacked in parks. Cops launched an urgent investigation after receiving reports of sexual assault from both victims in Rochdale, Manchester, on Saturday morning. At 6.15am, officers received a report that a woman had been sexually assaulted in Broadfield Park. Just over an hour later, a second report was made by a different woman who alleged she had been assaulted in Milnrow Memorial Park at 8.38am. Sign up for The Sun newsletter Thank you! Harvey Symes, 23, described as a black British national by police, has now been charged with two counts of attempted rape and making threats to kill. Symes, of Milnrow, will appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates’ Court today. Both women said they did not know the man and provided a similar description of the suspect, police said. Greater Manchester Police identified CCTV footage of a man matching the description in the Ko-Ko Lounge in Rochdale town centre, who was seen leaving the venue at about 5am. Broadfield Park and Milnrow Memorial Park are located just over three miles away from each other.
