Major UK supermarket chain slashes prices on HUNDREDS of seasonal favourites as school holidays kick off

A BRITISH supermarket giant is set to start its summer of savings – and it’s just in time for the school holidays. Shoppers will be able to score bargains on fresh fruit, chocolate bars and fizzy drinks. Throughout July and August, the retailer will bring back its three for £5 multibuy offer on fresh fruit, where shoppers will be able to select from berries, cherries, grapes, nectarines, apples, oranges and pears. For those wanting to save on snack staples for the family, the supermarket has also reduced prices on products including Dairylea Dunkers Jumbo (now £1.50), Penguin biscuits and six-packs of Walkers French Fries. As the dry summer months continue, the brand is also offering customers a chance to cool down with offers on soft drinks. Now, shoppers can nab two for £3 deals on bottles of Fever Tree Refreshingly Light Tonic Water, Light Elderflower Tonic Water, and Mexican Lime Soda (all 500ml). Customer value and loyalty director at Morrisons, Alex Paver, said: “With the school holidays meaning more meals at home and more days out, we know value matters more than ever. “That’s why we’ve focused these savings on our Market Street fresh fruit alongside popular snacks and drinks, helping customers enjoy fresh, quality food and make the most of summer for less.” The supermarket giant added that all promotions would be clearly highlighted both in stores and online.
