Major streaming service quietly increases its monthly and annual subscription prices

Meanwhile, the annual plan has gone from $99 to $119, a jump of just over 20%.The increase marks the fourth time Apple has raised rates for Apple TV in four years. Existing subscribers will receive notification about one month before the new pricing takes effect.Apple also increased the price of its Apple One bundle, which packages the streaming service with Apple Music, iCloud+, Apple Arcade, Apple News+ and Apple Fitness+. The bundle now costs $21.95 per month, up from $19.95.The monthly streaming fee has tripled since Apple TV launched in 2019 at $4.99. The company initially offered limited content to build its subscriber base but now provides more than 300 original shows and movies. The library includes award-winning series such as “Ted Lasso,” “The Morning Show” and “Severance,” along with live sports coverage of Major League Baseball and Major League Soccer.The price adjustment aligns with broader industry trends. Over the last two years, Netflix, Disney+, Hulu, HBO Max, Paramount+ and YouTube Premium have all raised their rates.
