He told KentOnline: “I would say there are around 300 men, maybe more. “They have blocked off every entrance and exit of the Dover port area, and Jubilee Way is blocked as well. “It will be causing huge delays for the ferries today.” National Highways confirmed the A20 is closed in both directions and warned drivers of four miles of queues due to “protest activity”. It said: “A20 both directions in Kent between A256 (York Street) & A2 (Jubilee Way). “Traffic is currently stopped due to protest activity at Dover Port. “Current delays of up to 30 minutes on the approach, with 4 miles of congestion.” Dover West Reform councillor Paul King said a “large number of men” had blocked the A20 and told locals to avoid the port area. Ferry operator DFDS warned passengers of traffic disruption at the port.
