Major bank giving away £225 in free cash and Amazon vouchers for moving accounts – but you only have days left to claim

A MAJOR high street bank is handing out £225 in cash and vouchers to people who switch their accounts – and you only have DAYS left to claim. Santander has boosted its £180 switcher offer for one week, giving away an extra £45 Amazon voucher to anyone who opens a current account with the bank. To claim the freebie, you can be a new or existing customer, but you must switch to a Santander Everyday, Edge or Edge Up current account and also open a Regular Saver account. To make sure you get the cash and voucher, you must use the Current Account Switching Services (CASS). You’ll need to set up two household direct debits and paying in at least £1,500 to the current account. You must also put at least £200 into the Regular Saver account within 30 days of opening it. There is only days left to claim the offer, which ends at 2pm on July 31. Santander isn’t the only bank handing out free cash and freebies to entice customers to switch. First Direct, Nationwide and Bank of Scotland are both giving new customers £175 cashback for switching to its 1st account.
