Maine counts ranked choice ballots to determine nominees for governor and a US House race

Maine has begun counting ranked choice ballots on Friday to determine nominees for its open governor’s office and a pivotal U.S. House of Representatives race. The secretary of state’s office says results are expected sometime next week. Maine and Alaska use ranked choice voting for some statewide elections.
