Mahindra's BE 07 has been spied testing again, revealing its production-spec cabin for the first time. The upcoming electric SUV will feature a triple-screen dashboard.Mahindra BE 07 (Photo: CarDekho)Mahindra’s upcoming BE 07 electric SUV has been spotted testing and the spy images offer the clearest look yet at its production-spec cabin. The biggest takeaway is the dashboard layout, with the BE 07 set to feature three screens, following the technology-heavy approach seen on Mahindra’s latest born-electric models.Expected to make its global debut in 2027, the BE 07 will be positioned above the BE 6 in Mahindra’s electric SUV portfolio. It will be based on the company’s INGLO architecture and is expected to offer a choice of battery packs and drivetrain configurations.Mahindra BE 07 to get triple-screen dashboard Interior of the Mahindra BE 07 (Photo: CarDekho) The latest test vehicle confirms that the BE 07 will adopt a three-display dashboard. The setup comprises a digital instrument cluster for the driver, a central infotainment display and a dedicated screen for the front passenger.Mahindra already uses a similar arrangement in the XEV 9e and XEV 9S, and the layout is expected to become a recurring feature across its premium electric range. The passenger display allows the co-driver to access functions such as navigation and entertainment without interfering with the driver's screen. The cabin itself follows a minimalist design, with a floating centre console creating additional storage space underneath. The spy images also reveal a two-spoke steering wheel carrying Mahindra’s 'Infinity' or butterfly-style logo, which is reserved for the brand’s born-electric models.A small display mounted near the windscreen can also be seen in the prototype. It could be related to the vehicle’s camera or dashcam functionality, although it is not yet clear whether this will be offered on the production SUV. Mahindra’s existing electric models use their 360-degree camera system to capture footage during certain emergency situations, while continuous recording requires external USB storage. The BE 07 is expected to have a five-seat layout, along with ambient lighting and a range of other premium cabin features.More conventional SUV proportions Rear of the Mahindra BE 07 (Photo: CarDekho) While the BE 6 has a distinctly sporty, coupe-SUV profile, the BE 07 takes a more upright approach. Its test mule has a taller and boxier silhouette, suggesting that Mahindra is prioritising cabin space and everyday practicality. The larger body should provide more headroom for rear passengers and potentially a more usable luggage area. The heavily camouflaged prototype also features flush-fitting door handles, frameless doors and large alloy wheels with aerodynamic detailing. Mahindra BE 07 concept At the rear, the SUV gets a roof spoiler with an integrated wiper, a clamshell-style tailgate and a sizeable rear quarter glass. Mahindra’s signature C-shaped lighting elements are also expected to feature on the production model.Expected features and safety equipmentThe BE 07 is likely to be positioned as a technology-rich premium electric SUV. Expected equipment could include a fixed panoramic glass roof, electrically adjustable and ventilated front seats with memory, dual-zone climate control and configurable ambient lighting.Other anticipated features include wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, dual wireless charging pads, a Harman Kardon audio system and connected-car technology.Safety and driver-assistance equipment could include a head-up display, 360-degree camera and Level 2 ADAS. This is expected to bring features such as adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assistance and autonomous emergency braking. A powered tailgate is also likely to be offered.BE 07 battery, range and drivetrainThe Mahindra BE 07 will use the INGLO platform, which also underpins the BE 6, XEV 9e and XEV 9S. The platform is designed to accommodate different battery capacities and drivetrain layouts. The BE 07 is expected to carry over the 59kWh and 79kWh battery options available with the BE 6. However, because the BE 07 is larger and heavier, its claimed range is likely to be lower than the BE 6’s 548-683km MIDC figures. Both rear-wheel-drive and dual-motor all-wheel-drive versions are expected. The RWD variants should focus more heavily on efficiency and range, while the AWD versions are likely to offer stronger performance and improved traction.Mahindra BE 07 launch and expected priceThe Mahindra BE 07 is expected to make its global debut sometime in 2027, although an exact launch timeline has not yet been confirmed.Prices are expected to start at around Rs 29 lakh (ex-showroom), with higher-spec versions commanding a premium depending on the battery and drivetrain configuration.Once launched, the BE 07 will enter a rapidly expanding electric SUV segment. Its key rivals are expected to include the Tata Harrier EV and VinFast VF7.Subscribe to Auto Today Magazine - EndsPublished On: Aug 10, 2026 14:06 IST
