MAFS UK bride Nelly reveals the real reason she underwent nose job – and it’s NOT down to horrific trolling

MAFS bride Nelly Patel has revealed the real reason behind her recent nose job – after previously opening up about the hideous trolling she endured following the show. The reality star insists cruel comments from the public had nothing to do with her decision to go under the knife, revealing what really prompted the procedure. Nelly explained: “Seeing myself on TV, I was like, ‘No, like I’m not being silly’, because obviously the people that love me always turned around and said ‘you don’t need it, you’re perfect as you are.’ It was confirmation for me seeing it on screen.” Sign up for the TV newsletter Thank you! She insisted online comments had no bearing on her decision, saying: “I’ve got a pretty thick skin, and respectfully, nothing that a troll will say will ever influence a decision of mine.” Nelly, who works as a cosmetic dentist, said: “Some people can be quite judgmental about cosmetic surgery but I’m not one of those. I paid for this… “Because I’m Asian I was also looking for doctors and people that were going to be really good with ethnic noses, I think that’s really important. I didn’t want to look like I’m not my race. Most read in TV “I wanted a really natural nose, just nice natural tweaks, so I’m really, really pleased with who I chose and where I went. “I can’t believe it’s been just over two weeks and I’m healed and back at work, I really thought I was going to be like Elephant Man for so long!” Nelly has previously spoken about enduring trolling during her time on MAFS, but insists it wasn’t cruel comments that drove her to change her nose. Nelly shot to fame on the 2025 series of MAFS UK, where she was matched with Steven Springett. Their marriage was rocked after Steven was exposed for using dating apps while in a relationship with Nelly. Nelly has since revealed she blocked Steven on all forms of social media and the pair are no longer in contact.
