Sign up for the TV newsletter Thank you! “And as hard as it is for somebody like me who their entire life is like on the internet It’s like it’s been really really hard. “There’s been a lot happening behind the scenes and I guess what I can say is like the last chapter of my life has been like honestly the most painful and horrible chapter. “It’s completely changed me as a person like.. I want to just get that out like as a big fact. “It has changed me as a person and it forced me to rebuild parts of myself that I didn’t even know needed rebuilding. “It has been so incredibly chaotic and just a lot.” In the caption of the video she wrote: “I’m not sharing my story to start an online argument or interfere with any legal process. Most read in TV “I’m sharing my own experience because silence can protect the wrong people, and shame belongs with the person who caused the harm, never the person who survived it. “For legal reasons, I won’t be naming anyone, discussing evidence or commenting on matters that may still be ongoing. What I can say is that I know what I lived through, I know what it took to move forward and I’m finally finding my voice again. “This chapter is about healing, accountability through the proper channels and reminding anyone living in fear that being treated badly is not love. “You are not dramatic, weak or stupid. You deserve to feel safe and you deserve to be heard.” In the other videos she shared, Jessika said that she has learned that “abuse doesn’t look how you think it looks”. “It can be emotional it could be psychological it can be financial it can be coercive, it can be physical, and it can be sexual. “It doesn’t always begin with fear and that’s why everyone’s always gonna go and say ‘you guys are so happy together’.” “I’ve like healed. I’ve done everything that I need to do in order to be the best person that I am and then you meet this amazing person.” She added that she felt like: “This is gonna be amazing until it’s not. Honestly, I feel like trauma has a way of making you question your own reality.” Jessika recalled how she ended up asking herself: “Why did I stay? Why did I keep going through it? Why am I in this situation? Why am I allowing this to happen? The craziness of it all literally was like I feel so broken. Why?” She explained that she wanted to share everything today as she wants to help other people going through similar things. Jessika went on: “I feel like I’ve really lost myself in this entire, like, in this entire game, situation. I don’t even know what I’m going to call it. I feel like I’ve lost myself. I feel like I am not the Jess Power that everybody knows. “I’m not anywhere near that person anymore. Which is sad. Like, that’s sad for me. I feel sad.” She explained: “When I actually went through domestic violence, this was, like, quite a long time ago. Like, quite a long time ago. “Like, let’s talk about a year ago. Not even. There’s been times over that year that things have happened. I thought I had nowhere to go. “I thought I had no one I could talk to…I thought I was just on my own..” she added. “I’m going through this. I’m in the hospital. I’m having to go through courts, but then I kind of started to reach out to the community…” she trailed off. In another one of the videos shared, Jessika said: “I will go through the legal proceedings. “Like, due to that, that’s okay. This is literally me having a bit, like, a bit of a voice and just wanting to be there for people and to go through the entire thing correctly. “At the minute, I’m taking things one day at a time. “I’m trying to focus on myself. I’m trying to focus on getting my voice back, trying to feel confident, trying to feel happy and just letting, you know, myself actually understand that, like, this isn’t okay. Like, that wasn’t okay. “There was a lot of times where I reacted in anger or I reacted due to the nature of their, like, control or abuse or words. “So this is a platform now where I can speak about that.” Comment now
