A chariot festival under way during the Madhyaradhana celebrations at Sri Raghavendra Swami Temple at Mantralayam in Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh on Sunday. | Photo Credit: SPECIAL ARRANGEMENT Madhyaradhana at the famous Sri Raghavendra Swami Temple/Math in Mantralayam, Kurnool district, Andhra Pradesh, was celebrated with immense religious fervour and grandeur on Sunday.​The event, which commenced on August 27 and will conclude on September 2, is the central highlight of the 355th Aradhana Mahotsava at the holy shrine.As part of the rituals, peethadhipathi of the math Sri Subudhendra Teertha Swamiji performed the sacred Maha Panchamrutabhisheka to the Moola Brindavanam of Sri Raghavendra Swami, followed by the grand Sri Rayara Pratah Kala Rathotsava.​Later in the day, the seer conducted the sacred Sri Brahma Kararchita Moolaramadevara Puja and offered the Maha Mangalarathi to Sri Raghavendra Swami, praying for the welfare, peace and prosperity of all devotees.​Thousands of devotees from across Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, other parts of the country and abroad gathered to witness the spiritually significant event and seek divine blessings.
