M&S urgently pulls kitchen item from shelves with customers warned ‘stop using immediately’

MARKS & SPENCER has issued an urgent recall over a kitchen essential with customers told to stop using it “immediately”. The retail giant has now withdrawn the product from all online and in-store “sites”. The blue tinted jug features painted leaf decorations and was originally manufactured in China, with the batch number T34/9829D. However, the Office for Product Safety and Standards has now found the item does not “meet the requirements of the General Product Safety Regulations 2005”. M&S has added that it “identified a potential safety issue” with the product and recommended shoppers to “stop using the product immediately”. As a result, the kitchen accessory has been withdrawn from sale in all in-store and online “sites”. The retailer apologised for any inconvenience caused and said customers will be able to return the jug to any M&S site (excluding franchise and outlet stores) for a full refund.
