M&S has dropped a 50% off summer sale – these pieces are bound to sell out

When I heard that M&S was finally putting some of its frankly next-level summer collection into its online sale rack, I wasted no time in drawing up a wish list. With a summer holiday booked and budget tight, the stalwart’s 50 per cent off event felt like divine intervention – and, by Jove, I’m ready to spend. Great news for mindful shoppers like myself, M&S delivers top quality, timeless styles that will serve me long after my upcoming trip. I’ve also tried to keep my wish list within a neutral/re-playable colour scheme, so each piece lasts me throughout the year, and not just the summer seasons. If, unlike me, you are not on the hunt for more clothing though, do not fear. The Marks & Spencer end-of-season sale has plenty on offer outside of the sartorial, with homewares, kidswear, accessories and beauty also seeing healthy reductions across the board.Without further ado, here’s my selection of the M&S womenswear clothing sale – but act fast, as sizes won’t stay in stock for long. M&S This waistcoat and skirt co-ord has been at the top of my wishlist – and now it’s discounted in the summer sale. A heatwave hero and nod to the sixties, the waistcoat boasts a sleeveless, straight-cut design while the skirt features a mini hemline and the same black contrast piping. Je suis obsessed.M&SIt’s no secret that polkadots have been having a moment of late, and M&S has capitalised on the trend, albeit with its signature elegant, refined slant. Blending playful with graceful, this scarf-detail, shirred-waist top might be reduced for the summer season, but due to its neutral colour palette it should serve you well all year round. M&S For neutral dressers, a pop of something a little dynamic can go a long way. Slinging this red woven bag over your shoulder brings an inevitable panache to your daily ensembles, easily combining retro references with contemporary – and capacious – style. M&S Few garments are more universally flattering than a drop waist dress. This cotton dress is a standout in the M&S summer sale, but the blouson sleeves and maxi length will see you comfortably through the seasonal transition to come. Just swap flip-flops for boots.M&SOkay, so this pick from the M&S sale might be a PJ top, but I would totally wear this out and about too. Whether you’re slipping it over the matching striped bottoms or a pair of inky blue denim jeans, this striped shirt is made from pure cotton poplin and cut in an oversized shape for a relaxed and comfortable fit.M&SIf you liked the zebra-print shoulder bag, this cami top ups the ante. Where the animal print of the piece brings a little cool-girl panache, the black lace underlay at the square-neckline adds a touch of femininity, of easy elegance. In simple terms, this is the best of both worlds (and heavily discounted). M&SWhite jeans are, thankfully, back again. I’ve always been partial to a crisp, all-white outfit, and these wide-leg denim jeans cut a particularly enduring silhouette with their high waistline and oh-so-slightly ballooning leg.
