MARKS & Spencer has confirmed that a beloved bakery product has been discontinued after fans noticed it had disappeared from shelves. The cookies, which are usually found in packets of five in the M&S bakery section, combine white chocolate with freeze dried raspberries for the ultimate sweet and fruity combination. Fans of the bakes responded to the post, explaining that they do seem to no longer be available – and sharing their sadness over the loss. “Gutted, they were absolutely amazing,” one wrote. “Yeah they’re gone. I’ve known a few weeks now,” another, who claimed to be an M&S employee, added. A third penned: “That’s why I haven’t been able to find them in ages. How could they?!” “What!!! I loved them! I even introduced them to all my family and friends who also loved them,” another commenter said. Another heartbroken shopper branded the move “absolutely criminal” as they described the snack as “top tier”. Most read in Money M&S has in fact confirmed that the cookies are being phased out from stores right now – but it’s not all bad news. It turns out that the White Chocolate & Raspberry cookies were a seasonal item just for summer, and while they are gone for now, it’s likely they’ll return next year. A Marks & Spencer spokesperson told The Sun: “Our Raspberry & White Chocolate Cookies were introduced as a limited-edition flavour for summer and proved incredibly popular with customers. “We’re always innovating and refreshing our cookie range, with plenty of exciting new products in development, taking customer feedback into account,” the representative added. Luckily, every M&S bakery will continue to be stocked with the classic flavours of the iconic cookies. The Milk Chocolate, Triple Chocolate and White Chocolate versions are available all year round – and the Chocolate Chip Shortbreads also seem to be a full-time fixture. Comment now
