The frame arrived first and the handlers placed it in my backyard, exactly where I envisioned it would sit. The cushions, on the other hand, arrived curbside (but well-packaged) in three large boxes and were wrapped in a protective plastic.What was the assembly process like? How long did it take and how many people?The frame is delivered in one piece, so once the delivery men put it on the patio, there was nothing to do but wait for the cushions. Admittedly, getting the cushions out of the box was slightly cumbersome since they have an elongated shape. The actual assembly takes no time at all—one person can easily manage.Is the outdoor sofa suitable for particular decor styles, and if so, which?Designed by Sarah Sherman Samuel, the sofa’s wavy iron frame is a charming, modern look you don’t see a lot of other outdoor brands experimenting with in their collections. How well does it fit in your backyard area?The sofa is 84 inches wide, 36.25 inches deep, and 30 inches high—the perfect size in my opinion. Two to three people could comfortably fit without feeling cramped, and there’s still room for other outdoor pieces since it doesn’t dominate a space.Is it comfortable? Does it feel well made? Does the couch have a tendency to sag or do the cushions feel lumpy?I’m especially fond of how wide and deep this sofa seat is, which makes it tempting to lounge all day—almost like a daybed. Both the cushions and upholstery feel incredibly well made and I appreciate that the cushion covers are removable for cleaning.Is it kid/family friendly?I am childless, but since the design has no sharp edges and isn’t too high off the ground it feels perfectly practical for families with children.Do the photos do this product justice? Was there anything you were surprised to see IRL?This sofa looks even better in person—the images don’t capture just how fun the stripes are and how well built the design feels in real life.What are the care and cleaning instructions?The frame can be wiped down with a soap and water solution and the cushions can be spot cleaned if needed. As I mentioned before, the covers are removable so it’s easy to unzip them and tackle any stubborn dirt stains.Lulu and Georgia recommends covering the sofa when not in use, so I purchased a cover separately from Coverstore. It covers the cushions and frame, and I don’t bother taking the cushions off after each use—it’s worked very well.
