Shaw missed United’s final training session on Wednesday morning as it was a designated recovery and rest day. Shaw is United’s only senior out-and-out left back, with 19-year-old Harry Amass the only specialist back-up. Amass has not played for United since May 2025 and spent last season on loan at Championship sides Sheffield Wednesday and Norwich City. He sustained a hamstring injury at Norwich in January and has not played since.
