A LOVE-UP Luke Littler has temporarily traded darts dominance for a different kind of rollercoaster ride. After a record-breaking run to the World Matchplay title two weekends ago, the Warrington wonderkid is now soaking up the Orlando sun and chasing thrills at Universal Studios. Wigan-based beautician Faith has been a rock throughout Littler’s recent globetrotting exploits, and the teenage lovers have finally managed to jet off for a richly-earned break. Although the Nuke is gunning for an unprecedented clean sweep of the eight major PDC ranking titles this year, the oche will be the last thing on his mind across two weeks in Orlando. The 19-year-old was resolute: “I need to relax, go to America, chill out, not think about darts and come back for the World Series.” “I won’t be throwing darts in America, I’ll be chilling out.” Littler’s summer reset has seen him snub the chance to defend two titles Down Under. The current world number 1 opted out of long-haul trips to the Australian and New Zealand legs of the World Series later this month to revitalise alongside loved ones in Orlando. A carefree August cuts a stark contrast to the rest of Littler’s 2026. And Littler’s confidence – not to mention trophy cabinet – is full to bursting at the moment: “I’m feeling very good. The clean sweep is very much on.” In order to rewrite the record books, Littler needs to conquer the World Grand Prix, European Championship, Grand Slam of Darts, and the Players Championship Finals this autumn. The biggest hurdle to Littler’s quest for the holy grail might not even be winning the major televised tournaments, but qualifying for the final one of the four. Reigning champion Littler is yet to secure his place at this year’s Player’s Championship Finals in Minehead, after skipping every single PDC ProTour event this season. Littler currently needs to bag an estimated £22,500 in ProTour prize money to qualify for what would be the crowning leg of his clean sweep. Come late August, the teenager will travel from Universal Studios to Leicester, with £15,000 on the line for victory at the Mattioli Arena. Comment now
