I don’t want him to achieve it because I want to win a major. “If he does the clean sweep, that means I don’t win anything, which, from a personal point of view, I don’t want that to happen. My personal view of it is, if I lose early, then I want him to win. “If I don’t win a major, I want to see him do it because it would be the most incredible thing I have ever seen in my lifetime. “But if I am losing in semi-finals, quarter-finals or the first round of majors, then I am rooting for him to do it because it would be quite some achievement to do it. That is the most important thing for me.” The Cheshire thrower has his own ambitions to fulfill, with the World Series Finals one of the few big titles missing from his collection. He added: “This is one of the three that I have never won. European Championships, UK Open and this one. “There is another event next year as we all know, so there is going to be four now. I’ve still got a lot of majors to tick off and win. “This is a really tough one because you are playing tough players all the time. This is one I definitely want to tick off. “If I can do it this year, that would be amazing because obviously I could do the European Championships this year and go into the UK Open next year and tick them all off. “If that was my lifelong dream, it would be to tick off every major that is on the calendar event.” Comment now
