Lucknow boy collapses moments after entering classroom, dies of cardiac arrest

A 13-year-old boy collapsed moments after entering his classroom at a school in Lucknow and died shortly afterwards, with doctors attributing the cause of his death to a cardiac arrest. The incident is the latest in a series of similar tragic cases involving schoolchildren collapsing and dying suddenly.The victim, a class 8 student, was dropped off at school on Wednesday morning by his father and appeared cheerful when he arrived.According to the school principal, the boy had just entered his classroom with his schoolbag slung over his shoulder when he suddenly fell backwards onto the floor.The teacher and other students initially struggled to understand what had happened. By the time they realised the seriousness of the situation, he was already unconscious. School staff immediately rushed him to the staff room, but found no signs of movement.The school administration alerted his father, who rushed to the premises along with a teacher. They then took the boy to a nearby private hospital, where doctors declared him dead after examination. Police personnel also reached the hospital following the incident. According to the police, the family declined to lodge a complaint after doctors attributed the death to cardiac arrest.The latest case comes days after a 10-year-old Class 4 student died after collapsing during a race at a school sports event in Uttar Pradesh's Muzaffarnagar on October 31.The boy reportedly collapsed midway through the race and was rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival. He also suffered a cardiac arrest.A similar tragedy was reported in Delhi, where a nine-year-old Class 3 student died after suddenly collapsing inside her classroom .School authorities said the girl was immediately taken to a hospital, where doctors declared her dead and attributed the cause to cardiac arrest.The incident was captured on the school's CCTV cameras.
