BLAKE DE TROY (70s), a faded, has-been, gameshow personality finds himself rescued after a car crash by his #1 fan (and only fan left), Florida outcast, ANTOINETTE FUNK (50s). Trapped in her creepy, rural house in the Everglades and believing he's been kidnapped, Blake tries to escape, only to realize he has nowhere to go. His partner (and micro-manager) Jimmy has died, and the world has moved on from Blake and his celebrity. Except Antoinette. She's happy to cater to Blake's every need. So, he stays, takes advantage, and quickly becomes a pain in her butt. She learns Blake is not the bubbly, fun personality he plays on TV. He's a needy, high-maintenance, miserable drunk in withdrawal. After tricking Antoinette to get himself some drugs, and stealing from her to do so, Antoinette reaches her limit, dumping Blake off and left-for-good at the grocery store. But he's not that easy to get rid of, especially when his "kidnapping" could stir up some well-needed, career-boosting publicity.Loves Company will be available November 10 on Digital and On Demand.
