Love Island’s Yasmin’s pals forced to deny she dumped boyfriend for show as she’s pictured kissing ex 24 days before

SHE may be just DAYS away from the Love Island final but little over two months ago, Yasmin Hadlow found herself enjoying a smooch with her ex of over three years. Now, her pals are being forced to deny that she secretly dumped him to get on the show – as she continues to maintain they split ‘seven months ago’ despite the steamy snog which has been caught on camera and passed to me at The Sun. But away from the Island, it is actually Yasmin who is facing the same accusations herself. Yasmin’s pals are having to weather their own storm after new images came to light of the Islander snogging her long-term ex Joel just 24 days before her very first episode. The timestamp shows the snaps were taken on 9th May 2026 and The Sun’s picture desk has verified that the photos have not been manipulated with AI. The Sun has chosen to keep Joel’s identity private. Now, insiders close to Yasmin’s ex have insisted the travel agent ‘dumped’ boyfriend of three years for good just four days later on 13 May. One of them told The Sun: “She dumped Joel just four days after the kiss. “She sent him a text and that was the last he had heard from her. “A few of his pals aimed to make contact with her following the night of the party but no one could reach her. “It seems she was preparing for the Love Island villa at the time.” However, her pals have been quick to shut that claim down as false. Sources close to Yasmin have maintained that suggestion they were still dating at this point are untrue. Yas herself has mentioned twice in the villa that she was single for “seven months” before entering the show. “Yas and Joel split way back in December last year but stayed friends,” says a friend of Yas’s. “They still have mutual friends and get on well, but she was very single when she entered Love Island.” Joel is also believed to have left a flirty comment under one of her Instagram posts around the same time. Yasmin’s account did not appear to interact with the comment. 24 days after she was pictured kissing Joel at the party, on 2 June, Yas entered the villa as a bombshell and stole Aiden from Ellie – before moving onto Lorenzo. She dumped Lorenzo during Casa Amor and coupled up with Tommy – later saying ‘I love you’ and getting steamy in the bedroom in x-rated scenes. This bombshell accusation comes after Tommy, who is coupled up with Yas on the show, was forced to deny HE had a girlfriend waiting for him outside the show. Asked by Maya Jama as part of the show’s Not Another Podcast challenge if he had really dumped his partner just two weeks before the show. Tommy replied: “I was previously in a relationship with someone. “I basically told her I was doing this and we left it sweet.” When pressed by Maya about how long that conversation was before filming, Tommy answered: “I would say it was quite recent – but I would say that we had split up a few weeks before. “After finding out certain things, I said that [Love Island] is what I wanted to do.” Yasmin then shakily acknowledged that she was “aware” of Tommy ending a relationship shortly before the show. But rumours of her own romance truth are now already beginning to swirl on TikTok. As a result, they were discussed on today’s episode of The Debrief by Toni Laites, who told her co-hosts Shakira and Yas: “I’ve seen online that Yas is [facing] the same allegations that she had a boyfriend before the show.”
