Love Islander lands job on This Morning just weeks after being axed from villa

A LOVE Island star has landed an impressive job on ITV’s This Morning, just one week after the dating show finished. Ope Sowande may have been axed from the villa before finding love, but he has found a new career in TV. Reporting live from Sandy Balls Holiday Village, Ope was joined by holidaymakers as they played fun games in the hopes of winning a cash prize. Sign up for the TV newsletter Thank you! The job isn’t a massive surprise, since Ope already had some good connections at This Morning. Ope previously revealed his connection to show host Alison Hammond. In fact, Alison even helped him get in to the Love Island villa, he admitted. Most read in TV He still underwent the same application process as the other islanders, but he shouted out his famous pal for giving him a nudge. Talking to Tyrique Hyde on his live stream, Ope said: “I’ve got a friend, quite famous, and she got me an email with ITV.” An intrigued Tyrique asked: “Who’s your friend?” Ope openly replied: “Alison Hammond. We worked together. She’s a legend man. We could call her but she’s probably busy.” Comment now
