LOVE Is Blind UK’s secret couple have spoken for the first time about their unaired love story and a heartbreaking tragedy during their first year. Wellbeing Coach Sammy Harper and Tech Recruiter Jonathan Harrold opened up on this week’s Showbiz Fix about their year since meeting on the Netflix show and bravely shared their emotional rollercoaster with suffering baby loss. Sammy said: “I actually quite like that. it’s been a bit of a secret because we’ve just kind of been able to like get in our own bubble and actually build our relationship. Sign up for the TV newsletter Thank you! “Like we had such a strong foundation when you come out the pods and like actually just build this life together.” Jon said: “we’re open about the fact that like it’s been tough and I’m like, I’m just so proud of how we’ve navigated it, communicated, come through it.” READ MORE ON LOVE IS BLIND Welling up, Sammy continued: “We were going to have a baby and I had miscarriage… and it was honestly like, oh. “Like it would have just been the most special thing. So, like we’ve just been through so much together, haven’t we? “And I’m just so proud of like what we’ve built and how real it is. I think genuinely that’s why we’ve just seen through genuinely some of the hardest times together. Jon said: “it’s been a hell of a journey. Like, to put it into perspective, like within the space of 10 days, I didn’t know Sammy existed. We’re now engaged. “And yeah, we’ve come through some tough moments and yeah, obviously with the miscarriage and stuff, like that plus the distance is f*cking brutal to have to do that. “And, but yeah, like, you know, we’ve come through these things and yeah, it’s very special.” Now the couple are desperate for one thing – to see the moment Jon proposed to Sammy in the pods. As her dad is no longer with us, Jon wrote a letter to him and read it as part of the emotional moment. Sammy said: “Netflix, please let us roll the tapes. Yeah. Because this was, honestly, that’s the one thing that upsets me is that we’ll never get to see it back.” Jon said: “Obviously a massive part of what we spoke about and Sammy’s life is, she unfortunately lost their dad and we spoke about so much to do with that. “So yeah, basically I sprt of like wrote this letter to her dad and was basically speaking to her heavenly dad. “And it was, yeah, it was very emotional. And then obviously came on to the things that I love about Sammy and yeah, that was it really. “So we were just both in bits, like absolute bits. But no, it was amazing.
