Love Is Blind UK reunion reveals most successful series in show’s history – but drama kicks off between co-stars

LOVE Is Blind UK proved it had a winning formula at tonight’s reunion – with ALL four couples who got married still together. But that doesn’t mean there wasn’t any drama as the Netflix relationship experiment franchise ended its third UK season. Ciara and Jack clashed over a past row, forcing Ajay to step in Credit: Cr. While two couples – Jordan and Yasmin, and Ryan and Cuba – didn’t make it to the altar, in a show first all four remaining couples said “I Do” when it came to their wedding day. However, tonight hosts Emma and Matt Willis were joined by all four happy couples – Ajay and Ciara, Sophie and Taylor, Francesca and Joseph, and Jack and Faye – with some even planning further ceremonies to celebrate their marriage. However, things got emotional when Ciara was asked by Emma about her behaviour on-screen – which left some viewers deeming her a “red flag”. Ciara broke down in tears and was consoled by husband Ajay as she admitted she was “self-sabotaging” and pushed things because she “couldn’t see any problems”. “Do you think that’s because you don’t think you deserve good things to happen to you?” asked Emma, which led Ciara to start crying, saying that she took out the “tension” of the experiment on the wrong person (Ajay). Most read in TV Emma later offered her a hug and wiped her eyes, with Ciara joking: “Do I look really ugly?” as she calmed down. But more drama came when Ajay called out Jack, who was considered a match by Ciara before they both got engaged to someone else, for his choice words about his wife after a fight during the lovers’ retreat holiday in Spain. “What was a hard watch for us is some of the choice words that were used when talking about Ciara after that,” he told Jack. “I think that was just a bit too personal for us and it could have been handled in a nicer way.” Jack, who is now married to Faye, admitted he’s “never been a wizard with his words” but noted that it was in retaliation to Ciara’s behaviour, causing Ajay to say it was “unfair” to say she was stirring the pot when people aren’t aware of how isolated she felt. Joseph was torn between Francesca and Chevanique, but ultimately chose Francesca to pursue a marriage with – and the women later got into a heated confrontation during a party after their time in the pods was over. Finally, Cuba – who was set to marry Ryan before he dumped her – took a moment to confront her ex-fiancé about his lack of commitment, which included him disappearing for days at a time for work, only to return and not want to talk to her for an entire day as he “unwound from the stress”. “You completely blindsided me,” she told him. “Everything I did was for you. Everything. It was all about you all the time.” Cuba noted that he would ignore her, and that other people in the pods managed to continue their jobs without abandoning their relationship in the process, he never did. “You didn’t ever make me feel validated,” Cuba shared. “I felt so alone in that experiment. I’ve never felt more alone in my life. “I’ve been cheated on, and I felt more alone with you.” Jack and Faye are still together and living with his mum, with plans to move to London and start a family Credit: Courtesy of Netflix Taylor and Sophie kept viewers on edge as they appeared distant, only to confirm they were still an item and happily married Credit: Courtesy of Netflix Francesca and Joseph joked about their time on the show before confirming their plans for a new wedding Credit: Courtesy of Netflix “I find it hard to be vulnerable,” admitted Ryan. “The decision to leave was heavy, and the pressure cooker of the experiment itself I did find difficult, and every moment that’s going by you are getting closer to a legally-binding marriage, and wedding.” “I think you kind of knew from the beginning, and you weren’t man enough to tell me how you really felt,” Cuba told him. “You’re not ready for a relationship.” However she added to Emma and Matt: “Ryan was amazing in the pods. He’s got a beautiful heart, but just not for romantic love.” Despite the flare-ups, all four newlywed couples have shared their plans for the future. And even Yasmin and Jordan are on good terms, despite not making it to marriage. “We met up once after we left the experiment and I think we both kind of decided that we worked better off as friends, and we’ve been friends since,” said Yasmin.
