THEY fall in love without ever seeing each other, then get engaged, holiday, live together and marry all in the space of a month – so it’s no surprise to me that the cast of Love Is Blind UK are on edge as they gather to film the series reunion. But even I didn’t expect filming to be dramatically paused when gorgeous pilates instructor Ciara Murphy broke down in tears when asked one tough question by host Emma Willis. Courtesy of Tom Dymond/Netflix © 2026 Incredible husband and wife presenting duo Matt Willis and Emma had deftly juggled the emotional cast under the beaming lights of a TV Studio in west London last week. Then they came to Ciara, who has had a tough rap this run of the Netflix series and been branded the “villain” by viewers raging at her admission she likes designer clothes and once enjoyed a £15k date. She’s beautiful, articulate and – having met her a few times during promo for Love Is Blind – I like Ciara. She has handled the ferocious social media criticism with grace. But then Emma Willis asked her one question and she unravelled.“Do you feel like you don’t deserve love?” Ciara broke down and covered her face with her hands, whilst co-stars rushed to support her – as did Emma. Filming careered to a halt and caring Emma asked a make-up team to come to the stage and help Ciara. It was a dramatic moment that had the audience – including me – gasping. I have not seen the final edit of the Netflix reunion special, which lands on the streamer on Sunday, so do not yet know if the emotional scenes have made the final cut. She told me: “I think with the reunion, I was taking myself back a year and putting myself in the filming which was so intense for me. “Like I went through every single emotion. I really took that experiment and I went full into it, I used it to its full advantage. “And then I think, you know, having to answer these questions… everything just builds up. “And then Emma asked me if I felt like I didn’t deserve love. “And I was like, ‘oh God’. I was like ‘maybe I don’t?’ “And then I was like, ‘oh God I’m gonna cry. I’m gonna cry in front of all these people’. Here we go, here we go.” Ciara juggled a love triangle with Jack Bradshaw and Ajay Cheema before ultimately pursuing her connection with Ajay. Jack has also faced disgusting hate online Credit: Cr. Ciara went on: “I think it was a release because actually, I do have a wall and I will mask my emotions with maybe the character, a bit of a joke.” Jack’s faced similar hate online for how he handled his own triangle – Ciara and his eventual partner, Faye Domaille. Speaking about Ciara’s moment at the reunion, Jack told me: “Credit to Ciara for actually being real and choosing to allow them to film that realness. “There’s tough moments. We both have tough times in the experiment, which, you know, other people may have stomped their feet and said, ‘get out, you’re not filming this’. “We wanted to show complete realism. So it’s tough to feel punished. “But you see some horrible stuff online – like we are human beings and it’s not very nice. “But I think credit to both of us for showing that.” Ciara’s groom, Ajay Cheema admitted he was worried about being able to keep up with her lavish lifestyle Credit: Cr. Both couples committed to full, legal marriage in Wednesday’s wedding episodes. But whether it’s Ajay there consoling Ciara through her reunion tears, viewers will have to wait and see.
