It has been a wild year for Love and Deepspace, the romantic mobile RPG whose fan base was willing to burn the world down when a werewolf wasn’t hunky enough. With a player base that intense, developers Papergames have learned to tread cautiously. And now it seems they may have accidentally poisoned those same players. This week the game’s socials shared cocktail recipes using in-game items. Some of which are known to cause psychosis. “Shake, swirl… and take a sip! One taste of this Special Blend🍸 and you won’t forget it,” posted the official Deepspace account last Thursday. “Exotic Fruits picked together are blended into a taste of happiness. A little of this, a little of that, and one last must-have ingredient…? 🍸What secret ingredient would you add to this Special Blend made just for him?” Safety Notice: All drinks shown are fictional and for in-game purposes only. Do not attempt to recreate or consume them in reality. — Love and Deepspace (@Love_Deepspace) September 30, 2026 The gacha titan’s socials shared five cocktail mixes inspired by cute in-game slimes: “Stellablobbu,” “Snowyblobbu,” “Fiendyblobbu,” “Pilotblobbu” and “Artsyblobbu,” which dons a beret. For the most part, these non-alcoholic beverages aren’t cause for much controversy. Peach juice, honey, simple syrup, gelatin sheets. It’s the garnishes that make it a strange brew. Artsyblobbu suggests topping your drink with flame lily, a real world flower which contains high traces of colchicine, which’ll send you right to the toilet one way or another. True to its name, Fiendyblobbu recommends using Datura, a psychoactive plant known for causing hallucinations. Stellablobbu includes sea lavender, which isn’t at all poisonous, I just find it overpowering and a little tacky as an ingredient. While the garnishes were pulled from in-game items, it seems the social team failed to double check if these flourishes were safe for consumption. Replies were quick to point out how dangerous these concoctions were, warning other fans not to recreate the drinks as-is. A day later, the account finally posted a follow-up, instructing followers to skip the mixology turned toxicology lesson. “Safety Notice: All drinks shown are fictional and for in-game purposes only,” posted Love and Deepspace. “Do not attempt to recreate or consume them in reality.” The game itself is a science fiction RPG, but the most pronounced elements are the romantic interactions. Much of the gameplay and premium purchases flow back to intimate encounters with a selection of five, beautiful, non-threatening supernatural himbos. A phenomenon in Asia, the game caught the attention of the wider audience when Papergames attempted to introduce a sixth hunk, Valko, a lycan yet hairless man in a stealthy tank top. Not up to snuff for fans, a revolt caused the studio to reverse course, axing the character and whatever possible plot arcs he was going to introduce.
