Louisville basketball coach Pat Kelsey spends day one of evaluation period at Adidas event

ROCK HILL, S.C. – Louisville basketball coach Pat Kelsey spent the first day of the second live evaluation period of July at the Adidas event. Kelsey watched several Louisville targets at the 3SSB Palmetto Road Championships at the Rock Hill Sports & Events Center. The top target in the event for Louisville basketball is Darius Wabbington, a center in the Class of 2027, who helped lead Compton Magic to a win over ETG Midwest. Wabbington, who will make an official visit to U of L in September, had 22 points, 10 rebounds, and five assists. Also for Compton Magic, top Class of 2028 target Yann Kamagate had 13 points and 14 rebounds. Kelsey also watched 6-foot-10 forward Ahmed Nur of Hopkins, Minn. Kelsey also watched 2028 targets Blaze Johnson with the Atlanta Celtics and Cole Kelly with Breakaway Basketball. He saw several other games during the day. Bremerton, Wash., guard Jalen Davis is not playing this week for Slow Grind Elite because of an injury. **Louisville basketball assistant coach Ronnie Hamilton spent the first day of the live period in Bryan, Tx., at the Pro16 Puma event for point guard Reese Alston.
