By John Benson, special to cleveland.comSEVEN HILLS, Ohio Drunken driving, Pleasant Valley Road: On June 11, police observed a silver Nissan sedan with loud exhaust and expired plates traveling eastbound on Pleasant Valley Road. Talking to the frustrated North Olmsted driver, the officer smelled booze. While he was searching for his license, which he didn’t find, the officer observed an opened container of Voodoo Ranger tucked under his legs. That’s also when the driver admitted to having marijuana. Asked about the odor, the man admitted to having two beers. After failing a field sobriety test, he was arrested for drunken driving. He was also cited for expired plates and loud exhaust. Attempted theft, Rockside Road: On June 12, police were dispatched to Erie Bank regarding an attempted theft at the Rockside Road bank. An arriving officer talked to the assistant manager, who upon opening the bank learned an ATM alarm had been tripped. Surveillance footage revealed a suspect wearing all black clothing use a key to open the ATM. That’s when the alarm went off and the man fled the scene. There are no suspects.
