AFTER shedding three and a half stone in weight since becoming the face of a fat jabs firm, Coleen Nolan appears to have ‘lost’ her lucrative job – as it throws its support behind Holly Willoughby. The Loose Women panellist has seemingly been ‘quietly dropped’ by Voy, which has been announced as the founding brand partner of Holly’s new YouTube show. Coleen also appears to have stopped promoting the company on social media, with no recent adverts, campaign posts or further updates on the weight-loss journey she launched by flaunting the ‘new her’ in glossy magazine photoshoots. A TV source said: “The fact that Coleen’s own campaign link no longer works while Voy is announcing a major new partnership with Holly is difficult to ignore. READ MORE ON COLEEN NOLAN “There may not have been a formal announcement, but outwardly the Coleen campaign appears to have gone completely quiet.” Coleen became a high-profile ambassador for the digital healthcare provider late last year after announcing that her lifelong “weight struggle ends here”. The Sun revealed Coleen’s change of heart about using weight loss injections after going into partnership with Voy. She initially appeared to firmly oppose to the new generation of weight-loss drugs, such as Ozempic, saying in February 2024 about the injections: “I don’t believe in any of that.” Most read in Showbiz The TV presenter, 60, faced a decades-long battle with her size, having reached 18st at her heaviest, but said in February 2024 she was strongly against it. She subsequently lost three-and-a-half stone and dropped from a size 20 to a size 14 while working with the company. Voy provides clinical weight-management programmes and, following an assessment, can prescribe GLP-1 medications including Wegovy and Mounjaro. But Coleen has remained unusually guarded over whether medication formed part of her own transformation. Meanwhile, Voy has been unveiled as the founding brand partner of Holly’s glossy new YouTube lifestyle series, Holly Willoughby Together. The move puts Holly, 45, at the centre of the company’s latest mainstream advertising push as she prepares to launch the twice-weekly series later this month. The new series is being produced by Hungry Bear Media, the production company run by Holly’s husband Dan Baldwin. It will feature cookery, fashion, beauty, health, real-life discussions and celebrity guests including Stanley Tucci, Katherine Ryan, Joanne McNally, Emma Bunton and Nicole Appleton. Holly described the show as an extension of the things she loves, including “happy, healthy living”, food, beauty, fashion and honest conversations. Voy founder and chief executive George Pallis said the project was “genuinely aligned” with the company’s belief that better health should feel open, human and easy to act upon. Brand and PR expert Dermot McNamara said: “Holly is arguably a much stronger advertising proposition for Voy because she brings an enormous mainstream audience without being personally tied to a public weight-loss journey. “They can sponsor a broad lifestyle show about health, food and wellbeing without every appearance immediately becoming a debate about whether Holly herself has taken medication. “Now the broken bio link and absence of further promotion make it look as though Voy has moved on to a cleaner, glossier proposition with Holly.” Dermot added: “Holly gives Voy something Coleen perhaps couldn’t, a completely fresh narrative. “Coleen’s partnership quickly became dominated by questions about her own transformation and whether she had personally used the injections the company prescribe, which she was unusually evasive about. “The conversation became less about Voy’s wider programme and more about what Coleen wasn’t saying.” Coleen has publicly discussed her battles with dieting and body confidence for decades. She reached 18 stone at her heaviest before losing five stone and shrinking to a size 10 in 2009 while releasing 3 fitness DVDs. But she later admitted she had “lost herself” at her lowest weight and struggled to maintain it. Coleen later softened her stance about fat jabs after seeing her son Shane Jr lose around three stone using Mounjaro, saying the transformation had significantly improved his confidence and mental health. She subsequently announced her own commercial partnership with Voy, telling followers: “This is it! My weight struggle ends here. After a lifetime of diets, I’m excited to announce my partnership with Voy. I’m feeling supported, educated and ready for change. This is the right decision for me.” Coleen later revealed that a blood test showing she was pre-diabetic had motivated her to take control of her long-term health. She said Voy’s combination of clinical guidance, coaching, nutrition support and “mindset work” appealed to her and insisted it was about sustainable change rather than a quick fix. By April, Coleen was proudly showing off her three-and-a-half-stone weight loss and said she felt healthier, more energetic and more confident. She said: “I don’t want to lose any more weight, I’m happy.” Though notably, she did not say whether she was taking the jab medication herself. Dermot added: “That lack of clarity did cause backlash because Coleen has always traded on being open and relatable – and that for a very long time, would say her weight didn’t bother her. “I think fans felt let down at how Coleen was unusually discreet for somebody whose entire appeal has always been her openness. “She has spoken about her weight, diets and body confidence in painstaking detail for years, so becoming vague at the precise moment she was being paid by a company that prescribes skinny jabs inevitably raised eyebrows. “She was completely entitled to keep her medical information private, but commercially it left the campaign in a strange halfway house, especially as she was being hired to promote it to the public, many of whom may relate to her struggles and may be going through the same thing themselves. “Coleen was being presented as the visible face of a successful weight-loss journey while declining to answer the most obvious question people had about how it had been achieved.” Holly’s new programme represents a major change in direction following her departure from This Morning in October 2023. She left the ITV daytime show after 14 years following the uncovering of a plot to kidnap, rape and murder her. Holly has presented other programmes since leaving the sofa, including Dancing on Ice, You Bet! and Netflix’s Celebrity Bear Hunt. But Together is her first major lifestyle vehicle built around her own digital platform rather than a traditional broadcaster. Neither Coleen nor Voy has publicly confirmed whether their commercial relationship has formally ended. The Sun has contacted Coleen’s rep and Voy for comment. 3 comments3
