Ohio congresswoman Marcy Kaptur was hospitalized following a hit-and-run car crash in Toledo on Sunday morning. Kaptur, the longest-serving U.S. congresswoman and Democratic representative of Toledo, was taken to the hospital to get checked for injuries after the crash, which unfolded just before 11 a.m. Sunday morning, 13 Action News reported. Authorities described the 80-year-old’s injuries as being non-life-threatening. A spokesperson for Kaptur said she was heading to church when the car she was riding in was struck. She was the passenger in the vehicle at the time of the crash. “Congresswoman Kaptur is thankful for the quick actions of first responders from Toledo Police and Fire Departments who arrived promptly on scene, and the medical professionals helping to take care of those involved in the crash,” the statement from Rep.
