Long-Awaited JetBlue BlueHouse Lounge Boston Expected To Open Soon

In the past year we’ve seen JetBlue finally get into the airport lounge game, given the general trend we’ve seen toward premium travel, trying to build lucrative co-brand credit card portfolios, etc. JetBlue’s lounges are branded as BlueHouse, and the first location opened at New York Kennedy (JFK) in late 2025. We knew that the next location would be at Boston Logan (BOS), and that the lounge would open at some point in 2026. While there hasn’t been an official announcement, we have reason to believe that the lounge’s opening is imminent. (Obviously will open very soon after)— JonNYC (@xJonNYC) August 18, 2026 One would certainly assume that this means that work on the lounge is almost complete, and that it will open in the very near future, since these kinds of events typically happen days before a lounge opens. Of course I can’t guarantee that, but this would be my assumption. After that, we know that JetBlue is looking at opening a lounge in Fort Lauderdale (FLL), but there’s nothing firm there yet, so I wouldn’t expect an opening there in the next year or two. I’m excited to see this new lounge open, as I was looking forward to checking out both of these lounges. I was waiting to pick up the JetBlue Premier Card, which offers access to these lounges, and figured I should wait until both lounges open. So this probably seems like a good time for me to apply. JetBlue BlueHouse JFK exterior What to expect from the JetBlue lounge in Boston JetBlue has been pretty tight-lipped regarding what we can expect from the BlueHouse Boston. What we do know is that the lounge will be roughly 11,000 square feet, so it’ll be bigger than the BlueHouse New York, which is around 9,000 square feet. The lounge is supposed to have a completely different look and feel than what you’ll find in New York, so that it matches the city. One thing that the two lounges will have in common is the existence of three distinct areas, focused on play, work, and lounging. In terms of food and drinks, we can definitely expect a bartender serving up alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, a barista coffee station, and a food selection including grab & go options. While I haven’t yet visited the BlueHouse JFK, I have to give JetBlue credit, because it looks like the airline really took an innovative and quirky approach to its lounge portfolio, and I appreciate that. Between this and JetBlue soon rolling out its BlueFirst first class, things are looking up for JetBlue in terms of passenger experience. The financial situation is a different story, though. The facility is expected to be around 11,000 square feet, meaning it’ll be even bigger than the lounge in New York. I expect we’ll learn more details in the very near future.
