London Royal Parks gardeners launch three-day strike

Gardeners working for the Royal Parks have launched a three-day strike in an ongoing dispute over pay.Members of the GMB employed by a private contractor walked out after voting overwhelmingly in favour of industrial action.They work in London parks including Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, and St James’s Park.Anna Lee, GMB regional organiser, said: “Our members are skilled, experienced professionals who create and maintain our capital’s world-class parks.“They love their jobs, but they know what their labour is worth and they will not back down until they get a fair pay offer.”
