Customers from Barclays, Halifax and Lloyds have reported issues with transferring funds and experiencing delays when making payments on the app. Sign up for the Money newsletter Thank you! Issues with the three banks began just before midday on Tuesday, July 27. Lloyds has recognised the issue, posting a statement to X. It read: “Sorry for the inconvenience. We’re investigating an issue affecting Faster Payments, which may cause delays. If you’ve already made a payment, please don’t send it again. Check it has gone through first to avoid duplicate payments.” At time of writing, 348 customers were reporting problems with Barclays, 269 with Lloyds and 169 with Halifax. One user who experienced payment issues with Halifax, wrote: “What is going on? I tried to transfer some money and it kept saying error unable to complete, I tried a few times and got the same message, now it’s done multiple transfers???” Most read in Money A representative from Halifax reached out to the user to fix the issue.
