L.L. Bean’s Summer Sale Is Absolutely Loaded—Save Up to 50% Off Editor Approved Outerwear, Gear, and Apparel

2 min readL.L. Bean’s annual summer sale is officially live, and for a limited time, you can save up to 50 percent on backpacks, jackets, boots, and everything in between. For context: L.L. Bean’s Black Friday sale is usually up to 15 percent off. I’ve been shopping there for years, and 15 is pretty much the threshold for non-clearance items. 50 percent is a game-changer. A ton of new styles are on sale too, along with some classic staples like the Mountain Classic Anorak Jacket (now just $50) and my favorite Corduroy Shirt (almost 30 percent off).Shop the L.L. Bean Summer Sale HereThe brand is also doing what it's calling its “Two-a-Day.” L.L. Bean is posting new deals every day at 6 a.m. and 2 p.m. ET until the sale ends. That’s the one caveat here—we don’t know exactly when the sale ends. It’s a pretty safe bet that it’s through the weekend, but we’d suggest grabbing what you can, while you still can. Because you won’t see prices like this anytime soon. Our Favorite L.L. My personal favorite boots, the Bean Boots, aren’t on sale this time around, but there are a couple of solid alternatives. The ultra-rugged Heritage Hiking Boots are nearly 30 percent off and are perfect for work and play. The Red Wing-esque Stonington Moc-Toe Boots are also more than $25 off and far less expensive than their above-mentioned competitor. I’m also a huge fan of L.L. Bean’s slippers, and right now, the Lodge Moc Vibram Slippers are 20 percent off.If you still have a summer vacation coming up, I have to say that L.L. Bean’s summerwear is highly underrated. You can save up to 50 percent on a bunch of in-season styles for your next trip. The Everyday Poplin Shorts and the lightweight Cloud Gauze Shirt are 50 percent and 36 percent off, respectively. One of my personal favorite summer staples, the Tropics Shirt, is also half-off during the sale.Of course, there’s also plenty of outdoor gear on sale. The brand’s retro-inspired, longtime favorite Trail Model Day Hiking Pack is now 50 percent off and under $50. It’s built for the trails, but can also add some ruggedness to your daily commute. L.L. Bean’s 30 Quart Adventure Tote Cooler is a summer essential, and it’s a rare 25 percent off (and under $100). We still have plenty of camping left this season on the East Coast, so over $100 off the Acadia 4-Person Tent is a legitimate game-changer.Some of my other favorite deals include 50 percent off one of my office go-tos, the perfectly-fitting Comfort Stretch Performance Polo, over 25 percent off the fishing essential Insect Shield Field Hoodie, and 20 percent off the versatile VentureStretch Five-Pocket Pants.Shop the L.L.
