And now Liverpool are said to have their eye on him, according to Spanish journalist Ramon Alvarez de Mon. The Reds are on the hunt for a marquee forward signing after the departure of veteran Mo Salah. But Liverpool aren’t looking at signing Vinicius this summer and would hope to snap him on on an incredible free transfer in 2027, the report adds. Contract talks between Madrid and Vinicius are said to have stalled and Liverpool are now leading the Prem teams hoping to pounce. Alvarez de Mon told his YouTube channel: “Real Madrid are interested in renewing Vinicius’s contract, and Vinicius is interested in staying at Real Madrid. “These are the official positions, but at the moment, I’m not aware that the differences between the two sides have been resolved. We’re mainly talking about Premier League teams. “In those initial enquiries, there was one club that clearly responded positively to their interest in Vinicius, but the numbers worked out for 2027. That club is Liverpool. “If Vinicius becomes a free agent in 2027, not only will the Premier League be paying attention, but I imagine Bayern Munich and PSG will also be watching closely. “I’m increasingly convinced that a renewal this summer is unlikely. “Of course, how comfortable or uncomfortable Vinicius feels with Mourinho, how the Brazilian performs, how the team functions, and so on, could be very important.” Vinicius is seen as one of the best players in world football and has a big season ahead of him under new boss Jose Mourinho. The forward had a top season in La Liga last term as he netted 16 goals and provided five assists. He bagged 22 goals in all competitions but couldn’t inspire Madrid as they went a rare season without silverware.
