Lions stretch lead to 24-10 on two Jahmyr Gibbs touchdowns

Detroit has scored on their last four possessions and they’ve pushed the ball into the end zone on three of them to take a 24-10 lead early in the fourth quarter at Ford Field. Running back Jahmyr Gibbs was responsible for the last two scores. Gibbs’s first touchdown came after he deked his way around Jets tacklers on a 17-yard score in the third quarter and the second came on a one-yard plunge on the first play of the fourth. Gibbs is now in sole possession of second place in franchise history for touchdown runs behind Barry Sanders.Gibbs has 100 yards on 18 carries and he’s also picked up 48 yards on five catches. The Jets got points on their only possession of the third quarter, but hopes for a touchdown after a long pass to Garrett Wilson went up in smoke after a pair of sacks. They can’t settle for any more field goals if they hope to pull off a major comeback. They lost guard Dylan Parham to a knee injury, so Jordan Meredith is now in on the offensive line.
