LIONEL Richie has been rushed to hospital after feeling “dizzy” on stage during a show. The 77-year-old was checked into an intensive care unit in St Louis, Missouri, after falling ill following a show on Saturday night. They added he hoped to be discharged on Tuesday. Witnesses at the show said Lionel told the crowd he was feeling “dizzy” and “strange” toward the end of his show. As he performed “All Night Long” he is said to have asked a member of his team to bring him a chair. He was then reportedly taken to hospital in an ambulance after seeing paramedics back stage. It comes after the star was reportedly taken to hospital by ambulance after a dizzy spell during a gig in June. He had to take a moment to sit down during a performance at the Grand Casino Arena in Minnesota. Lionel took to Instagram to share some snaps and tell fans he was “doing well”. He wrote: “Thank you for every message, every kind word, and for all your love. I’m doing well, and I’m grateful for all of you. “Pittsburgh and Detroit were an absolute joy.
