After the bombshell ruling, fellow jurors spoke out about the individual who they said was “arrogant,” refused to deliberate, and who the defense said was ignoring reasonable doubt, calling for him to be removed from the jury. A police report seen by the outlet stated that the juror’s 13-year-old nephew called 911 after the man grabbed his wife by the throat and threw her into a dresser. Cops noted that the juror’s mother shouted “you’re evil” at him as he was arrested by officers. The criminal charge was eventually dismissed and the couple divorced, with the ex-wife telling the news outlet that the charge was dropped after she refused to testify against him over fears of losing custody of her daughter. NBC10 also found that the juror is under an active restraining order that was filed by the teen nephew who refered to the alleged 2021 assault incident in the filing. The teenager said the juror pushed him to the ground and repeatedly punched him in the face. Most read in The Sun “You ruined my life,” for calling the cops, he wrote in the affidavit. According to the news outlet, the restraining order was active during the grueling six-week Clancy trial. Legal analysts have highlighted that the juror’s alleged criminal history should have been noted in the questionnaire issued to all potential jury members which asks about arrests, charges, and any court orders. “I don’t see how, if those questions had been answered correctly, one side or the other would’ve taken the chance with allowing him to be seated,” legal expert Michael Coyne told NBC. He added that the juror’s questionnaire will have to be reviewed by the prosecution to see if the information he submitted was truthful. As the lone juror’s history of domestic violence allegations emerges, it has also been found via court records that he is facing eviction after failing to pay over $12,000 in rent to his landlord. The landlord told The Daily Mail that the juror “lied about everything” regarding the lease and rent payments and so was forced to take him to court. Meanwhile, on Friday, Juror 10 Nick Dargie revealed that the lone juror mimicked strangling three children in the deliberation room with one of the exercise bands used by Clancy and a water bottle which left them speechless. We’re not here to play detective – it’s not a game of Clue. This is serious. “I asked him why are you doing that? That’s disgusting.” Clancy’s high-profile attorney Kevin Reddington has filed a motion seeking an acquittal and attempting to prevent another trial, which is due to be heard on September 29. Meanwhile, Clancy, 36, is in a state-run psychiatric facility in Tewksbury with taxpayers fronting a hefty bill for her treatment. Prosecutors have not yet announced whether they intend to retry her.
