The middle-order batter was eventually dismissed off the bowling of South African Migael Pretorius, with Archie Vaughan, son of Ashes 2005-winning captain Michael, a former team-mate of Flintoff Snr, taking the catch.Flintoff made his First-Class and List A debuts as a 16-year-old during the 2024 season, but after missing much of the 2025 campaign through injury, he has been given an opportunity to shine over recent weeks.With several of Lancashire's more senior batters away at The Hundred, Flintoff has featured in seven of their eight group matches in the One Day Cup and impressed. Given his age, Flintoff continues to feature regularly for England's Under 19 side, while he also struck a century for England Lions against a Cricket Australia XI in early 2025, highlighting his prestigious talent. He is one of a number of famous sons making their way in the cricket world from England's 2005 generation.Vaughan, a top-order batter and off-spin bowler, is slightly older than Flintoff at 20, yet he is a regular in Somerset's One Day and First-Class team.Charlie Harmison, son of former England fast-bowler Steve, is on th ebooks at Durham and he featured alongside Flintoff for England's Under 19 side earlier this summer.
