Lidl just launched ‘irresistible’ new bakery item — and it only costs 59p

And if you require a little pick-me-up, then you might like to know that Lidl has just launched some new bakery products. The bargain retailer’s in-store bakeries are beloved by shoppers across the UK, with the croissants regularly winning awards. But if you’re looking for something new to try, you’re in luck, as two limited-edition bakes have landed, and one costs just 59p. The new items include a Neapolitan Traybake inspired by the classic ice cream. This features layers of bright pink strawberry and vanilla sponge, with a chocolate icing and rainbow sprinkles on top. Priced at just 59p for a slice, the cake pieces look incredibly retro and have been hailed as ‘irresistible’ and ‘amazing’ by shoppers who’ve tried it on social media. Also new in the bakery is a Chocolate Pistachio Tiffin, which is slightly pricier at 99p a piece. This sugary treat is made with layers of biscuit, chocolate, and pistachio pieces, and is bound to tempt anyone who has been a fan of the Dubai chocolate craze. This week, Lidl also announced several new bakery offers for shoppers who possess a Lidl Plus membership. These include three Chocolate Hazelnut Doughnuts for £1.75 (these typically cost 79p each), plus three Pastel de Natas for £1.75 (usually 75p each). The retailer has also slashed the reward cost of a cheese twist, which previously cost 100 points for the freebie, but is now down to 75 points. All of these deals will be available for a limited time, as will the special guest bakery items, so you’ll have to be quick if you want to nab them. Walkers has also confirmed the ‘best’ crisp flavour, a collab with KFC, is returning after it was discontinued five years ago. There are two flavours in the Walkers MAX range, including KFC Original Chicken and KFC Zinger.
