Liam’s answer was emphatic and featured his trademark humour too. He replied: “NO I’m just not prepared for the criticism if it doesn’t sell 100 million copies in the 1st hour cure bad breath and constipation for the nation if it doesn’t turn back time for Cher and some other s**t let’s just to some gigs and be happy thank you.” It prompted another fan to ask: “Genuine question though, if there WAS to be new music for oasis would it be different to the old stuff or still be the same?” If the Gallaghers do decide to rethink their stance on new material, it should please the diehards. Liam said: “I’d like to think it’d still sound like Oasis and we hadn’t turned into a bunch of electronic umbrellas trying so desperately to keep up with the KIDS do you get me bruv.” The Sun exclusively revealed earlier this month that Oasis will return to stages next year with an epic 12-date residency at Manchester City‘s Etihad Stadium and six dates at Knebworth to honour their iconic 90s double header at the estate.
