Letter: Backward policies not benefiting the public

Nationally and locally, we are living in a backward “ends justify the means” society. To get elected, the president campaigned on lowering prices and avoiding wars, yet now the prices of oil and goods are being pushed higher because the U.S. is at war with Iran.
