To answer your questions as quickly as possible: probably, October, and here’s what we know about Dutton Ranch season 2.Dutton Ranch, the most direct sequel to Yellowstone, premiered in May of 2026. It picked up the story of Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler, played respectively by Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser–who also serve as executive producers on the series. It also moved the action from Montana to Texas. They’re the new ranchers in town, and don’t necessarily have the easiest time adjusting to their environment.Is Dutton Ranch actually coming back for season 2?Yes! Paramount announced that the spin-off was renewed back in June of 2026. Per Variety, they also announced around that time that Benjamin Cavell would take over as showrunner. In July, Reilly told The Hollywood Reporter that filming on season 2 would start next year. “We’re slated to start early 2027 to film,” she said. “But the [writer’s] room starts up pretty quick. I think [Hauser and I are] going to be very much involved in the room; so the next sort of six months is all about writing it.”That’s a great sign that we’ll see season 2 on Paramount and Paramount+ by summer, or maybe fall, of that year.
