Sign in to your TheGamer account When Lego revealed its huge second wave of Pokemon sets earlier this year, there were two in there that, while shown off, were being saved for a release later in the year. October 1, 2026, to be exact, which means starting today, both of those sets are now available to buy. You Can Now Buy Lego's Big Poke Ball Lego One of them is almost certainly some of the best work Lego and Pokemon have done together so far. Dubbed the Iconic Trainer Moments Poke Ball, the 2,386-piece set is a giant Poke Ball, as the name implies. However, it’s what’s on the inside when you open the set that makes it truly special. Pretty much everything you’ll find inside the Poke Ball is an homage to the original Pokemon games, Red & Blue, or technically Red & Green since that’s what the very first versions were called when they originally released in Japan. Fitting, since Lego and Pokemon have finally come together after all these years to celebrate 30 years since those original games were released. Lego First up, you have the minifigures. Five of them are included in the set, with the three humans modeled after characters from Pokemon Red & Blue. You have Red, the protagonist trainer from those original games, Professor Oak, and Picnicker, one of the many trainers you encounter several times throughout the game’s story. Still unsure why the third minifigure isn’t your rival in those games, Blue, or Gary. The two Pokemon minifigures included in the set are Pikachu and Eevee, giving them the honor of being the first two Pokemon to ever be reimagined as Lego figures. The set also includes three tiny Poke Balls and a Lego Pokedex that the characters can hold. Recreate Scenes From Red & Blue Inside A Lego Poke Ball Lego The locations in which you can recreate scenes from Red & Blue, and Let’s Go Pikachu & Eevee, I guess considering the Pokemon involved, are the real centerpiece of the set. You have a recreation of Oak’s lab, the place so many of us chose our first Pokemon 30 years ago, and right outside is a patch of grass with platforms on either side where Red and Picnicker can pit their Pikachu and Eevee against each other. The set is available now through Lego’s website and costs $299.99, making it the second most expensive Pokemon Lego set so far. The $650 Venusaur, Charizard, and Blastoise set still holds the record for the most expensive. Still a lot of money, but on the bright side, if you buy it by October 7, 2026, you’ll get a Lego Astro Bot thrown in for free. The gift with purchase is included with any orders that cost $150 or more, whether those orders include the new Lego PS1 or not. The Poke Ball isn’t the only Lego Pokemon set that’s available to buy starting today. The $79.99 Up-Scaled Red Minifigure is also here. The set is quite literally just a giant version of the Red minifigure from the Poke Ball set you build yourself. Not quite as special as the Poke Ball, but a fraction of the price if you’re looking for a new Pokemon set that doesn’t cost hundreds of dollars.
