My thoughts and prayers are with his entire family.”PWInsider said that Dundee’s son, Jamie Dundee, also shared the news of his father’s death.“With a heavy heart it hurts me to have to say this,” he wrote. “At 330 this morning the SUPERSTAR BILL DUNDEE has passed away. I love you Dad ill catch you on the OTHERSIDE. REST IN (PEACE) SUPERSTAR.”Pro wrestling legend Missy Hyatt also posted about Dundee’s death.“Very sad morning in the wrestling biz,” she wrote on X. “I last saw Bill Dundee a year ago. Super nice to me. Even gave me 8x10 photo of him doing a Bert Reynolds style post. I would say his run for Bill Watts was the best mid south run for business with jyd, midnight express, rock n roll express, butch reed, buddy Landell, etc. One of the best Memphis legends that could rival Jerry Lawler. “We never talked,” she continued. “Eddie Gilbert had a fight with him in the early 80s which I have no idea about on why. Which is why we were in cwa and he was not there & the same for cwf. We only crossed paths in wcw in 1993. A legendary booker and a super worker. Much respect.”Dundee began wrestling in 1962 and he became a star. He was the AWF Heavyweight Champion, the NWA Central State Heavyweight Champion, and the Mid-South Television Champion.
