Le Creuset launches unexpected tie-up with iconic TV show to mark its 60th birthday with range of pricey dishes

FANCY pots maker Le Creuset has boil-dly gone where no pans have gone before by journeying to the edge of space with its new Star Trek range. The maker said its collection sets out to “command the stovetop” with its £425 Enterprise round casserole dish. Its £385 Klingon shallow casserole dish “embodies strength”, while the £130 Galileo Shuttlecraft covered casserole “inspires exploration”, it says. The range also includes a £36 oven mitt with Spock’s split fingers salute and a £52 communicator-shaped grater. Star Trek was first broadcast in the US on September 8, 1966.
